The spring melt is on its way. Balmy afternoon temperatures are creating huge puddles by the main gate and field adjacent to the MAC building parking lot.

Your best bet for staying dry is to hit the park first thing in the morning, when overnight temps have refrozen the icy patches. If you come when it’s still frozen, though, watch your step. It’s glassy as a skating rink, especially by the main gate.

The back trails were still passable as of today, but I expect in a few more days, the low-lying areas next to the marsh will be soupy.

The ice on the lake is probably no longer safe to walk on. Please use good judgment out there.

I think this was in about 2005, but I’m not sure. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I would like to purchase that book, as I think she might have included a photo of one of my dogs or, at least, she was planning to. Thank you.

Unfortunately it is looking rather typical for this time of year. The poop is hard to pick up when it is left and has time to freeze to the snow. Any cleanup effort is appreciated. Thank you
