(She hung it on the fence, but I didn’t feel like narcing on her after she agreed to pick up the stuff in the first place. And it was black, so maybe the MAC people didn’t spot it so easily on the black fence. If it’s still there tomorrow, I’ll take it with me.)

Last year Now Boarding graciously agreed to let us put the waste in their dumpster. Let’s hope they can be asked to do so again. Volunteers with pickup trucks and other places to take the stuff are still very welcome.

Just like last year, most of the poop that vanished into and under the snow is actually pretty well broken down, but new material continues to arrive (shame!) so there will still be something to do.

Unfortunately it is looking rather typical for this time of year. The poop is hard to pick up when it is left and has time to freeze to the snow. Any cleanup effort is appreciated. Thank you

There have been several large poop collection bags left by the fence. I have no problem with anyone who would like to collect and REMOVE the poop. Some of the bags were there for several days and were quickly overflowing and covered in pee. I finally picked them up but did not enjoy hauling the smelly 100+ lbs away in my car. Now another’s started.
As I understand it one of MAC’s requests is that we do not leave poop bags anywhere… especially large smelly ones. There is no collection services provided. Please remove your own poop from the park and do not leave in large bags. Your help keeping the park safe and clean is greatly appreciated.

Why did you passively and aggressively leave your poop bag on my car? You should return to the park and pick it up, because I do not respond to your type of behavior and it is still there for you.

I didn’t get out until 6:00pm last night and the sun was just setting in a cloud covered sky. I got lucky because my black pack of three pooped almost right away while it was still somewhat light. I managed to find two out of three dog poops left by my dogs. But, to find these I almost had to put my nose right to the ground. We enjoyed our dark evening walk until 7:30 though the dogs did get a little spooked from time to time. (Sorry if we barked at you… we thought you were the boogie men.)
We all know it’s very hard to find and pickup poop now with all the leaves on the ground during the day. Well it’s almost impossible to find in the dark and there were still many people using the park as it was still early evening.

Unfortunately, due to lack of daylight, there seems to be an increasing amount of poos around the park. If you see some poop while walking around please help by picking up extra. Remember, It’s better to carry it out in a bag than to carry it home on your shoes.
Any extra help the day light dog walkers could provide would be greatly appreciated. We will probably be experiencing this problem until we get some white stuff on the ground.

Any extra poop bags donations are also appreciated. Anyone have any good ideals for obtaining a good cheap supply of small plastic bags? I have been using the cub food plastic bag recycling but there are not always the best bags.

To those of you who place bags of poo on the fence:

Question: Who do you think picks those up? Where do they go?

Answer: No one! Nowhere!…

…Until some innocent person picks it up because they don’t want to see it or smell it and has the decency to do someone else’s job! Thank you to those people!!! But in reality, it is our responsibilty, as dog owners, to pick up AND REMOVE our dog(s)’ poo from this free (non-servicing) dog park!

Ideas to Correct This???:

It is very easy to place an ice-cream bucket or an old tupperware dish in your vehicle and place the bag of poo inside, as to conceal the smell, drive home, and dispose of poo in garbage.

Or….

Man up, throw the bag of poo in your vehicle, roll the windows down, and drive to the nearest garbage or your home to get rid of the poo (and the smell) a.s.a.p.

It’s not very hard folks. This dog park is FREE, for us to take care of, and let our dogs use and enjoy! Please remember that the next time you leave your dog’s poo for someone else!!!!
