Cattail Days

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on October 26th, 2008

It’s that time of year again when the cattails seeds are blowing in the wind. It almost looked like it was snowing at the park on Saturday.
Are you looking for something different at the park for you and your dogs? Try a trip through the maze of trails already blazed through the cattails. [...]

A Wednesday night at the park

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on October 23rd, 2008

I didn’t get out until 6:00pm last night and the sun was just setting in a cloud covered sky. I got lucky because my black pack of three pooped almost right away while it was still somewhat light. I managed to find two out of three dog poops left by my dogs. [...]

Treacherous holes

Posted by docsmom on October 1st, 2008

I was at the park yesterday and one day last week, after a long absence. There are some treacherous holes that could break one’s leg or ankle if you fell in one of them. The main ones I saw were on the hillside going down toward the lower level on the north end [...]

Week of August 3

Posted by Devon & Chaz on August 6th, 2008

The property is back to what I consider “normal” for summer. The marsh edge is dry, and dogs have to run quite a ways into the cattails before finding any muck. There will be a puddle by the main corner gate after a hard rain, but it will quickly evaporate in a day or two. [...]

Plastic bags needed 7/9

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on July 9th, 2008

Hi all,
We could really use small to medium plastic bags for our mailbox bag dispenser. Any ongoing help keeping extra bags on site would be greatly appreciated.
MAC has also removed several dead trees and even filled the low spot by the gate with dirt. Thank you
The park is dry and tonight [...]

MAC still hard at work

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on July 2nd, 2008

MAC is very busy tending the park these days. More mowing above and below has made the poop pickup much eaiser. They have also trimmed many of the fruit trees and the area looks very nice.
THANK YOU MAC!
Please help show your appreciation by removing extra feces you may see. Keeping [...]

MAC Mowers – Thank you

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on June 30th, 2008

A big THANK YOU to the MAC Grounds crew for mowing the upper area around the trees. I arrived when they were almost finished and was happy to see that the dogs did not seem to get in their way. The poop pickup is now much easier.
Also, I noticed that the poop bag [...]

Week of April 20

Posted by Devon & Chaz on April 23rd, 2008

Expect small, scattered puddles on the high ground from recent rains, especially near the gates. The lower ground has largely dried up from the thaw, although the edge of the cattails remains soupy, with standing water where the high water level of the lake is encroaching. The marsh boundary will likely remain wet and soggy [...]

Timberrrr!

Posted by Brian, Jessie, Bear and Tootsie on April 16th, 2008

Note:  Use caution on windy days.  On Tuesday 4/15/08 between 4:30 and 4:45 the extremely windy conditions blew a tree down that was 12” in diameter at at base.    We did not see or hear it fall but the pictures I shot from the day helped me pin point the time.  We thought about being careful [...]
