I must say, I've always had concerns about people not leashing their dogs in the lot, because I've always been afraid I'm going to hit someone's dog. There are a lot of cars in the lot, and if people let their dogs free as they're going to and from the car, it increases the chances that a dog is going to get hit, as it's hard to see around the cars (and it's hard to see if there's a dog behind your car when you're backing out). In general, I just think it's a lot safer to leash them when in the lot - even if you have a very obedient dog that stays close to you - you just never know when a dog might get spooked by a noise or see a squirrel or something and start running through the lot!

Yes indeed this was one of the few MAC requests made a few years ago. It’s posted on the gates as you leave the park. It is something like “Please leash your dogs”.
They would like this for their employee safety (remember not all people are dog people) and the dogs (moving cars) safety.

The only other request I can think of right now is Removal of pet feces. Including not letting it fall along the roadway.

MAC is really good to us by letting use this area. They take great pride in how the grounds appear and we are very taxing on their private property. I try and make a special effort to help keep the area clean and safe for MAC and all of us. They do not seem to want any kind of official park or the problems associated with the visitors. I wish they would post on the website so we could hear their concerns. The Airport Police did comment in January.
