Phillip continued the next step in his hero’s journey on Friday night, August 1st with the help of the very kind doctors at Grand Avenue Vets and in his momma’s tearful arms. I am so grateful for all of the thoughts, hugs, stories, resources, licks and cuddles I received from friends at the park during our last two weeks together. Yesterday I purchased a large, concrete, sleeping lion memorial statue to be placed in Phillip’s favorite spot in my back yard. Thank you Brian (Tootsie, Jessie and Bear) for your photos of Phillip on Flickr.

We are very saddened about your loss. That is the hardest decision. I’m praying for you at this time of sorrow. Keep coming to the park for hugs, licks and support.
p.s. Let me know if you need help moving your statue

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about Phillip. Godspeed, beautiful boy. I had to help my 17-year-old cat, Panda to the Bridge this past week, too. Maybe they will find some companionship there together.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss.

“If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven,
and bring you home again.”

Take comfort in the fact that Phillip will be waiting at the bridge for you someday.

Yup, the stars are brighter now…………just like our lives from knowing the “Lion King”.

My sympathy to you. Such a difficult thing to do. Just know he’s having a ball off leash forever until you are reunited again.

Something to say?
