I am still learning about the Flickr site and just ran across this and thought I would share.  This is a quide on how to download my full size images from Flickr.

Downloading Photos from Flickr

1.    Go to a set and open it.  This will give you a thumbnail view of photos in that set.

2.    Click on photo you want to download.  It will open that picture.At this point you can right click & save a small 200kb picture.

3.    Above the picture is a row of icons.  Pick the “all sizes” icon.  This will open a new page where you can select (and see) the size of the image you want to download.

4.    If you click the default “Download the Large size” now you will a Jpeg file that is over 14 x 9 in size. (1024 x 683 pixels).   But, notice the “Available sizes” row. 

5.    Click on “Original” icon in the “Available sizes” the download icon will now change to “Download Original Size”.    You can This gets you  a file that is about 2mb and is huge at over 45 x 30 inches in size (3264 x 2176 pixels).

6.    Click on the “Download Original Size” it will open another window asking if you want to open or save. Click “Save”.  You many pick a different save location and file name at this point. Click “Save” again.  The picture should be on your computer now. 

Note:  You can’t download photos in slideshow mode.

Some of my compositions are even bigger. Flickr has a 10mb per image restriction.
