Hello fellow dog parkers, first time posting but thought it was a necessary evil.
I have been going to the dog park now (mostly on weekends for about 2 months) and we love it. We went this past Sat and Sun 12/1 and 12/2. One of my dogs has come up with pink eye. The funny thing is one of my dogs had it about 3 weeks ago, after a trip to the dog park, we got medicine and cleared ourselves up. Now on Monday I noticed that one of my other dogs has it again.
I talked to the vet about this and like kids in school, the dog park is also a place for viruses and such, and dogs pass these things to one another. So just an FYI to all keep an eye on your dogs eyes for icky discharge, pink eyes and itching of the eyes, just like the human version. Also like kids if the dog has an infection they need to stay away from the other fur kids until they have been on medicine for a few days, also the vet told me they do not pass the pink eye to their human counterparts (incase your eyes just started to itch).
So with all due respect to the other “parents of the fur children” keep the sick at home so the others do not get infected.Â
Thanks and see you all soon at the park, and rest assured our eyes will be treated and cleared up.

My little one got it too..a few days after being at the park for the first time in a week…..cleared up in 3 days ……
