Jack Logan is a cute young (not yet 2) B&W cocker spaniel who was a frequent visitor to the ADP prior to his illness.   Some of his friends are holding a benefit for him and his owener, to raise some funds to help her pay the extremely high costs of the veterinary services that saved Jack’s life.  Here’s the very short version of his story:

Jack somehow must have ingested a sharp object that tore his esophagus causing a wound that became badly abscessed. The abscess traveled through his lung and he got very, very sick, but his owner refused to give up on him. He had to spend weeks in animal hospitals on oxygen and had lots and lots of tests to find out what was wrong. Then he had surgery to remove part of his abscessed lung. It was a long, difficult, and very expensive process, but, happily, he is now recovering back at home where he can snuggle with his “mommy” again.  In time you will see him at the ADP again, but the bills were outrageous — many, many thousands of dollars.  IWe would love you to join us at this benefit, where you and your dog(s) can both have some fun (see details below).
