I know it’s been a few weeks now since I even first noticed it, but what happened to the tree on the south side of the park?  It was cut down (that’s obvious) but why?

Also… I read the old posts, etc. and I remember reading something about the agreement with the people at MAC that we are not supposed to leave bowls, chairs, etc. out on the property.  Perhaps this agreement has changed in the meantime?

I’m sure enjoying being out there with my dogs!  Not a big tick problem at all, even tho the grass got kinda long there.

Is there a place we can post photos of our dogs?  I’ll try to paste one in here of mine.

This is “Honey” and me at home in Holland… but you’ll see us around the park!

Blessings,

Belinda

One Response to “the tree”

Hi, Belinda!

The tree by the gate was blown down in a storm. They cut it away and left the stump.

As for the dog bowls, MAC has asked us not to leave bowls and water jugs in the park, but rather take them with us when we go. A lot of people don’t read this blog, so they don’t know about the MAC’s desires. The MAC has also asked us not to post signs. On the other hand, they recognize that we have no way of communicating with dog owners without signs and/or a blog, so they have allowed our blog sign to stay up.

So, the answer to your question is, the policy hasn’t changed–it’s just that most people don’t know what the policy is. Nobody has the authority or desire to enforce the MAC’s rules, so we count on community cooperation and hope the word gets spread to everyone.

Lastly, there’s a Flickr pool where we can post photos. You’ll need a Flickr account, but it’s free to join.

Photos posted there will appear as thumbnails in the right-hand column on the blog. Please feel free to upload as many shots of Honey as you like–preferably photos taken of her at the dog park.

See you around the park!
