Alan, who comes to the park with his Rhodesian Ridgeback, Tandi, says he ventured along the edge of the marsh on the nature trail the other day and later had to pick three ticks off himself.
Yuck!
So, this is just a reminder that we are well into tick season now, especially with all the wet weather. Be sure your dog is on some kind of tick prevention, such as Frontline, and that you check yourself after dog park visits as well as your dog.
Hate hate hate ticks. Bleh.
