Keeping the park clean

Posted by shepusky on May 28th, 2007

Arggh…we visited the park this evening (May 28) and found quite a few poop bags left behind, as well as several chairs…and some coffee cups. I just wish people would be normal and responsible and pick up their crap and that of their pets.
Sorry, I just needed to vent!!! It probably doesn’t do much good [...]

Week of May 20

Posted by Devon & Chaz on May 26th, 2007

Overall, the grounds are in great condition. The recent rains have left very few wet areas–just a small puddle by the main gate and another one by the marsh at the end of the runway. Unless we get more rain over the weekend, I expect they’ll both be gone soon.
The grass is lush and thick, [...]

Anyone care to help me out?

Posted by Dawn on May 14th, 2007

Hello, I posted about a week ago that I needed someone to watch my dogs wh ile I visited my mom.
Well, I never got there, she’s been in the hospital for 2 weeks and is going to go to my sisters with hospice care.  I’m just wondering if anyone would be willing to take my [...]

I lost my whistle somewhere in the dog park. It’s silver, shaped like a pen. If found, please contact me at DevonTT(at)gmail(dot)com
Thank you!

Week of May 7

Posted by Devon & Chaz on May 8th, 2007

Last week, I managed to circumnavigate the park during a couple of visits without Chaz running into the marsh, so I had high hopes that a trip to the dog park wouldn’t necessarily mean a bath afterward.
But this is Chaz we’re talking about.
We were past the danger zone–the south end of the marsh where a [...]

Thanks for info about the MAC perspective

Posted by nnavsirk on May 7th, 2007

I really appreciate the post (and the effort that went into it!) about MAC’s perspective on the “green space”.  Thank you for taking the time to meet with them, and put the post together.   My dog Sasha and I really value the green space; we want to be a good green space citizens; we think it’s imporant to have [...]

Week of April 31

Posted by Devon & Chaz on May 2nd, 2007

Not much change, except the grass is filling in nicely and greening up the place. I have avoided the nature trail and lower field near the marsh, because my dog thinks it’s fun to dash into the cattails and return covered in muck. For the time being, someone else will need to report on ground [...]

New home for Bindhi?

Posted by stephanie.johnson on May 2nd, 2007

Hi dog park friends,
I am Bindhi’s mom… some of you know Bindhi from our romps at the park! Bindhi is our sweet 1-year-old Belgian Malinois/G.Shepherd mix… she is mostly tan with tall pointed ears and a beautiful black mask… very lean, about 50 lbs.  We’ve had Bindhi for 7 months (adopted her at 5 months) [...]

My Meeting with the MAC

Posted by Devon & Chaz on May 2nd, 2007

Chaz and I met with three people from the MAC this morning. It was a great experience–enjoyable and enlightening. They were highly appreciative of the card and gift basket, and it was fun bringing Chaz into the lobby, where he was doted on by everyone who passed by.
I met with two representatives from the public [...]
